Application Specialist

Smartwares Group is looking for a driven Application Specialist. Would you like to continue your career in a dynamic company that focuses on marketing consumer goods worldwide? As an Application Specialist you are responsible for maintaining and optimizing various business applications, including a Product Information Management system (PIM system) and web shop Backend. In this role you will be working together with 4 other Application Specialists and you will be included in various projects.

What are you going to do?

  • You are involved in the management of applications and processes on a daily basis;
  • You develop and maintain connections between the ERP/PIM and the web shop;
  • You deal with user questions, carry out developments that are devised by the marketing team and you are involved in setting up a functionality;
  • You provide daily support to colleagues from different departments including Sales, Online Marketing, Business Line Management and After Sales;
  • You participate in improvement projects and advise on possibilities to work more efficiently;
  • You maintain close contact with suppliers for correct technical input and creating successful connections.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have at least a completed Bachelor degree and 3 years of relevant experience;
  • You have a technical affinity with applications and web development. Terms such as API, XML and JSON are no stranger to you;
  • You like to invest in your knowledge and learn new techniques;
  • You have a good command of the English language;
  • You have a combination of strong communication skills and analytical skills;
  • Experience with a PIM is an advantage.
